St. Paul's United Church is the largest of the 5 churches on the charge. It is located on a hill in the picturesque town of
Bancroft where it is visual reference point for the local community as well as the cottagers and tourists who frequent the area.
The building was built over 100 years ago by the Methodists. It has been renovated and added to over the years. The church also owns the adjacent building which is rented to the local live theatre organization.
The church choir is very well respected in the community and competes annually in the local Music Festival. The U.C.W. organization is very active in the church. They provide regular suppers, lunches, funeral lunches, as well as an annual rummage sale and a Christmas Bazaar. The Session has a Committee structure consisting of Worship, C.E., Outreach, and Pastoral Care. The Board of General Purposes is responsible for the work normally done by the Stewards and Trustees.
